Not the best but not bad either

Pros

If you are ambitious and even a little smart, There is room for advancement. You just need to make it known that you would like to move up and if a better position is offered, take it.

Cons

The mentality at times seems almost unreal. It's odd that in 2012 a manager is still able to get away with bullying and intimidating the way some of the upper managers do. It's a stereotypical pass the misery on down situation. It's weird. But again, leave the job at work and manipulate the situation and you'll be fine.

Working here makes me depressed

Pros

$7.25 an hour is better than $0 an hour

Cons

Working here I feel like I mean little more to Roundy's than another product. New part time employees will receive no extra pay for holidays or weekends, no paid vacation and no benefits whatsoever. I have even been as to sign a waiver to work over 40 hours but receive no benefits. Mangers allow employees to be harassed to the point of tears by customers. (I've seen this numerous times) and take no action to stop the harassment because they are afraid of losing a $10 sale. A friend of mine has been working here for over 3 years and still makes less than $8 an hour. I would not recommend this company as an employer unless you are desperate.

Pros

They are always hiring, and pay above minimum wage (barely) so they make for good part time employment.

Cons

Always under pressure to be faster, the customers' satisfaction isn't supposed to be the highest priority. There isn't really anyone holding the managers accountable, and there are some who don't treat employees well and get away with it.
