Pros

The only reason I enjoy working at Pick N Save is because of what we get away with and the social environment because of it.

Cons

Roundy's and Pick N Save doesn't care for or respect it's hourly employees in the least. Raises are given on a scheduled basis and not at all on merit. I have worked there as on of the better front end employees for 2 years and my pay has raised from minimum wage ($7.25) to $7.60 per hour.

you learn a corporations way of working and gain knowledge of sops, the people you work with, usually there is some one around to answer questions

Cons

sometimes the have very high and next to impossible expectations the lack of training is very frustrating ,the way they schedule you 34 hours a week so they don't have to pay benefits the bottom line is always the dollar with this company.

Pros

Pick N Save has really nice benefits packages for insurance, dental, life, etc. The staff is very friendly and easy to get along with. There is a lot of friendships within the store that originate there and continue as time goes by.

Cons

Management is constantly changing. It is very difficult to get comfortable with a manager because you don't know how long they are going to be there. Management within the store has little respect for the things employees do and how hard they may work. Having graduated college and continued to work there, I realized that PNS is a far cry away from a happy place to be. Staff turnover is extremely high. I left about a month ago and upon returning to the store, more than 1/2 of the staff in my previous department is new. The store opened in 2005, and now over 5 years later, I was one of the last 10 original people who opened the store. To put it into perspective, the store had double/triple the amount of employees when it opened compared to now.
