Pros

Very little down time, so your shift goes quickly. There is always something new to learn, because it is rare that two transactions are ever the same.

Cons

Middle management is totally out of the loop with what REALLY is going on in the stores because they always give a head's up when they are visiting, so GMs scramble to make sure everything seems fabulous, when in fact, the place is usually a train wreck. The lack of set schedules for employees makes having a life outside of the store almost impossible, and expecting everyone to be available 24/7, even when hired part time is ridiculous. Entry level employees are treated as expendable, and the amount of training for a new hire is daunting and tends to make people simply walk away before even really starting their job. For those who do work hard, you're going to work even harder and then when you ask for help or speak up, you get disrespected and treated as if you are expendable.

Pros

If you work hard it is noticed and easy to move up. Benefits and pay are decent. That's about it.

Cons

There is corruption in our region. Certain people do whatever they want with no consequences, and things have been covered up. Nobody will say anything with fear of losing their job. We also need more labor to accomplish what they expect us to. Right above store level makes a quarter of a million dollars a year, but we can't have any overtime or pay people more than $8-9 an hour.

Pros

50% off at the restaurant attached to the store.

Cons

Management is often confused and do not have solutions to problems. We have constant corporate visits that we "fix" all the problems in the store for only for it to go back to normal. The customer base is rude, mean, and extremely poorly educated. The employees are verbally abused on a daily basis and rather than having management having our backs they simply tell us to be nicer.
