Pros

Working with customers both trucker and gas were the best part of the job. You had the opportunity to get to know them on a personal basis and they became part of your Pilot Flying J family

Cons

Ethics were not appreciated. Policies in place were totally disregarded some that could be a liability for the company in the future. What you are reading in the press about Pilot Flying J is a global issue not just limited to the headquarters in Knoxville.

Pros

Great pay and benefits. Almost everyone is friendly and pleasant to work with. You feel at home working there pretty fast. If you can be successful working here, you can't help but feel like an allstar.

Cons

Very little toleration of anything but perfection If you screw up even slightly once, your job could easily be in jeopardy. Screw up twice, heads roll with no hesitation. I've seen this happen one too many times. In a management position at corporate which are all salaried (not hourly) positions, if you're not putting in around 60 hours/week, you likely won't make it there very long. Plus you're automatically considered a slacker. 40 hours a week is not the norm and quite frankly unacceptable there. Get ready cause you have to live and breathe Pilot. And if you're not loyal, forget it. This is a very tightknit company.

You do as they say or you would wish you had. Your hours get cut you be lucky if you can go to the bathroom.
