Pros

This compnay is making great steps to deliver the best products to the customer. There is a lot of integrity within the company and they are very proud of what they do. You can't do everything right 100% of the time but they try harder than anyone out there. And they deliver great products and services.

Cons

There is a tendancey to be too many levels of management. The company is great and I love how they have the sales force as independent contractors. However; in order to get changes through within a compnay of this magnitude you end up jumping through hoops- typical in business of this size.

Pros

Focused upon employee safety; Opportunity to advance; pay for performance; high ethical standards; solid financially and investing well for the future

Cons

It can be hard to advance very much without moving and it can be hard to get the highest performance rating if you state that you are not willing to move. DuPont has a high percentage of people set to retire in 5 years and the pressure to move people and train them more broadly is evident.

Pros

Good benefits, and nice hours.

Cons

Basicallly, this company is coasting off of two facts: There were people 50 years ago that developed a lot of momentum which they are still riding on today (they developed some good germplasms), and Its hard for competitors to break into the seed business given the need for a strong base germplasm, wide research organization, logistics chain, sales force, capital inivestment, etc. The profit margins are high in the seed business and it covers up an egregious ineptitude in leadership, which trickles down into the employees that work there and are hired there. Giving the leadership basic skills tests in the areas that they are responsible for (and basic knowledge/skills tests of what it takes to be a good leader) would quickly show how little they know about what they are doing.
