Pros

I have over 25 years with Pioneer. I have seen a lot of great things happen when Pioneer leadership was in charge. Before DuPont took over we experienced some bad market conditions. Much worse than of current market conditions. Pioneer always survived and found ways to grow through these times and retain staff and keep the eye on the prize. Pioneer still have some great people who are trying to hold on to their career. DuPont is making it difficult by grabbing all their profits and disabling Pioneer to survive as they have done in the past.

Cons

Most Pioneer management and upper management have been pushed out by old arrogant Plant management from DuPont. These people do not have an AG background and disrespect for Pioneer success in the past. DuPont's track record as of the past 15 to 20 years is terrible and known for ruining companies to the point that have to sell them off and cut their losses. They have done the same thing to Pioneer. They have run the company into the ground and now are going into a tail spin. They are cutting jobs and replacing with DuPont people who do not have a clue on the AG side of business. DuPont puts on a front that they have great respect for people and ethics and they shove this down your throat. Yet their actions do not display this. Now with the merger of DOW and then a split into three companies DuPont has announced the leaders of the AG company. No surprise that they are all DuPont Executives who again have helped DuPont go into a tail spin and take Pioneer down with them. DuPont is just a bunch of money grabbers that has disabled Pioneer's beliefs and abilities to be the great company that they once were. Will be interesting to see if they survive. Right now its like working with people who are near death and is a very depressing environment. They give spirit surveys once a year and are very upset when they don't come back favorable and they punish Pioneer for their honesty. Paul Schickler is Pioneer and CEO of just Pioneer, but the CEO and executives of DuPont have pretty much disabled him to practice as Pioneer has in the past.

Pros

The people are kind and have a good quality work ethic.

Cons

The company has lost it's family feel since being bought by DuPont. Now with the Dow merger, employees are losing their moral fast.

Pros

I enjoyed working with my peers. The bonus structure was good before it was changed.

Cons

Blatant discrimination against women. If you aren't part of the "boy's club" you will never get promoted, despite exceeds performance reviews. Senior leadership are absolutely clueless. Research IT is sinking fast under the latest annual org structure.
