Pros

The people is the best about Pipedrive and probably they key to its success. We really embrace the culture and core values as a pipedriver as we do our best to build a great product together. You're surrounded of awesome colleagues who'll get your back and lend a hand when needed. More than colleagues, you'll make friends that will support you throughout your journey in the company and will cheer for you when you succeed. Multicultural and inclusive environment. Personal coaches are amazing. Very cool swag. Decent benefit package. We used to have awesome events and parties (sadly not anymore).

Cons

People are extremely demotivated. Upper management is awful, most senior managers try to avoid having difficult but direct conversations and will sugarcoat things to justify themselves or tough situations. Teams are severely understaffed and overworked, causing people to burn out. Lack of transparency in communication. By the end of 2022 more than 100 talented pipedrivers were arbitrarily laid off but then in 2023 we've had around 100 new hires, which doesn't make sense. There are no clear key responsibilities and everyone does everything, which makes work very chaotic and unorganized. There is no clear team structure or architecture in teams and departments. Very limited career progression opportunities. Mediocre salaries. They try to justify our salaries as ”competitive” but they are not even close to competitive within the industry. About the Lisbon location specifically – it used to be an awesome office to work at back when it was in Atrium. The new office is kind of average and lacking lots of Pipedrive vibe and culture (colourful and engaging walls and furniture, great coffee machines, breakfast). As someone who has been in Estonia, Prague and Germany offices, I can tell that ours right now is very sad and disappointing compared to those. Even visitors say that. We do have drinks and snacks available (limited to crackers and cookies), but they're from the cheapest (retail) brand. We used to have awesome events and parties with great food but sadly that ended when the previous office manager left the company, now events are pretty average and nothing special. For people who are thinking about joining Pipedrive here's my advice: Evaluate your options. Pipedrive people is the best you'll find and you'll contribute to make a great product, but I'm sure you'll get better compensations elsewhere, Pipedrive salaries are not that competitive and we don't have a clear answer if we're having salaries adjustments anytime soon. They'll try to convince you to join by saying you'll have a bootcamp in Estonia because that sounds great but that's a lie - they were ”suspended” because of the pandemic and never resumed.

Hello, fellow Pipedriver! Thank you for taking the time to express your thoughts on your experience at Pipedrive. Firstly, it’s great to hear how happy you’ve been with your Pipedrive colleagues, experiences with our coaches, and SWAG. However, we’re sorry to hear you feel there’s been a drop-off of employee events. This week, the team has been celebrating World Mental Health Day in Lisbon, there’s a Bake Off coming soon, a small Halloween get-together at the end of the month, and of course our annual Winter Garage. However, if you have any further ideas on how we might continue driving engagement with events, we’d love to hear them. Thank you for sharing your thoughts on the new Lisbon office. We encourage you to provide continuous feedback to our Workplace Experience team in Lisbon who are continually working to bring our brand and our culture to life in the new space. To your point about the layoffs which took place last year, while this was and remains a strategic decision taken in the best interests of the business, of course we understand that the transition hasn’t been easy for our Pipedrivers. In regard to our hiring patterns this year, we remain dedicated to scaling our business and powering the success of our customers, and as such have continued to backfill any leavers and hire new Pipedrivers into mission-critical roles. On your comments about burnout, this is an important topic for everyone inside and outside Pipedrive right now, and one which we’ve honed in on for World Mental Health Day, with our in-house coaches sharing tips and advice company-wide. We are proud of our people-first culture and always strive to provide the best support to our people – particularly through periods of stress. If you’re worried about burnout (either on behalf of yourself or another colleague) please do reach out to our coaches and leverage our Employee Assistance Programme, as well as speaking to your manager. Once again, thank you for sharing your take on your experience at Pipedrive. Your feedback is important, and we encourage you to reach out to the aforementioned teams, your People Partner and our Executive Leaders to share additional comments and suggestions

Exciting Wave of Transition!

Pros

1)Work-life Balance: One of the most commendable aspects of working at Pipedrive is the emphasis on work-life balance. The flexibility in the schedule allowed me to manage my time efficiently and strike a healthy balance between professional and personal commitments. 2) Transition Phase Excitement: Pipedrive is currently navigating its transition from a startup to a multinational powerhouse. Being a part of this phase offers an exhilarating experience. There's always a new project around the corner, and the environment is ripe with opportunities for anyone eager to play a pivotal role in the company's growth.

Cons

1) Emotional Quotient: During my time at Pipedrive, I felt that the emotional connection between the team members could be enhanced. This observation might be a reflection of my remote role which inherently comes with limited chances for interpersonal interactions. Nonetheless, fostering a sense of belonging and camaraderie, especially in remote roles, should be a priority. 2) Clear Purpose & Processes: Every thriving company needs a unifying purpose, a beacon that guides every team member. While Pipedrive is teeming with energy and ambition, a clear purpose that resonates with everyone could work wonders. Additionally, certain processes, especially concerning employee interaction, need further refinement. For instance, onboarding could be more streamlined, and there should be prompt communication about any organizational changes that might impact an employee.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us with your review, fellow Pipedriver. We’re glad to hear how you are embracing the change and transformation journey we’re on together. Our goal is to foster the right environment for you to be successful, so it’s good to know that you’re getting the balance right between personal and professional boundaries. Feeling a bit distant from your teammates in a remote role can be a real challenge. We encourage you to talk to your manager and people partner about how you are feeling. They can help you with ideas on how to enhance interpersonal interactions at Pipedrive. To start with, we recommend joining existing social channels on our Slack connecting people with similar interests or taking part in internal trainings to get to know fellow Pipedrivers. Additionally, our very own in-house personal coaches are always ready to listen. Our purpose and what drives us is to help small businesses grow.
