Pirate Ship has an employee rating of 3.3 out of 5 stars, based on 18 company reviews on Glassdoor which indicates that most employees have a good working experience there.
Fantastic benefits, tons of support, work-life balance, fully remote job, great managers!
Cons
There are the expected growing pains of a company than has ballooned in size over the past few years, but they're actively trying to keep their training and processes up to date and they listen to employee feedback.
I love this job. The fact that I can interact with the CEO and post memes or photos of my pets is great. Management isn’t afraid to tell abusive users they can’t abuse their employees and they have your back. Everyone is very willing to help if you have a question, even if you ask the same question every single day, there is so much support.
Feedback from supervisors is always kind and they understand metrics don’t directly reflect on your worth as an employee.
Lots of diversity and people are promoted based on skill and best fit for a role and not just friendships to higher ups.
Cons
Chats can be overwhelming if you have multiple difficult chats at a time.
