Pros

The benefits package and the flex time available. They do teach you how to sell anything to anyone. During the benefits package selection they offer a many packages tailored to your specific needs. The cool thing is the flex time that you can purchase which is an extra week of vacation for some. They do promote diversity in the company and have a gym to use during your lunch time, before or after work. They do have an in house doctor and chiropractor for your health needs. They ensure that you can be sick and be at work at the same time.

Cons

Depending on the department you work in, your dedication and hard work goes un noticed until you make a mistake. Then and only then do people know your name. The Supply Department Customer Service area is supposed to be about assisting the customers who have not been satisfied with product. Management monitors you to make sure that even if a customer is dissatisfied with their products, that you ask if they would like any other supplies. The raises: either you get one or you don't. The paint a different picture of the department before the interview. Once you are in the Supply Line, they turn the tables around very quickly.

Pros

Everything that is non-work: of course, the people, fitness center, health care university, flexibility, and large company type benefits and competitive compensation. Good cafe (27) with variety and nutrition. On site medical a plus with a great staff. Public Company with espp and T Rowe 401K.

Cons

not a progressive environment, no room for growth, limited resources for most projects. After many years of this, even the talented people (there are a lot) are burnt out. No daycare or paternity. True understanding of business and customer lost with a majority of offshore or contract resources.

Pros

It used to be a fairly humane and employee-oriented company. That seems to be changing. Nonetheless, the company has an excellent franchise in the postage meter and it is seeking out other businesses in which there are at least some barriers to entry. It is trying to get out of the the low margin, commodity type businesses.

Cons

As a slow-growth company, there has been pressure on the stock price. Current management is having trouble increasing revenues substantially, so it has instead focused on cost cutting (read: head cutting). A person going to work there should make sure he or she has an excellent package with lots of downside protection - because there is the potential for downside in this environment.
