Pros

Placer County has a very highly regarded and award winning reputation for delivering state of the art employment services to it's Calworks recipients.

Cons

There isn't very much upward mobility at the moment. Part of the reason though is that very many other current employees want to join the team and it's very competitive to get hired here. The unemployment rate is very low which actually is good.

Pros

Generally a great group of people to work with. Work in real estate without worry of market fluctuation impacting workload and thus livelihood. If you have a "go along, get along" attitude, and can be great while flying under the radar to avoid superiors feeling threatened, this is a GREAT place to work. Good benefits, nice retirement, paid vacation and sick leave, 12-13 paid holidays a year, best pay in Northern CA for this type of work environment.

Cons

Good ole boy system. Promotion and/or lateral opportunities are not typically based on qualifications but rather how well you are liked and whether you are able to ask questions in such a way that does not challenge authority figures. Morale is typically low and pettiness is abundant.
