Very Hostile to Ground-Level Employees

Pros

Didn't see any major examples of discrimination personally despite having heard it does occur. So, good job at least keeping up outward appearances of the bare minimum, I guess.

Cons

Toxic management, arbitrary stagnancy, overwork, poor pay, the list goes on. The biggest problem with Planet DDS is that they starve their teams for resources and expect increasing output. The left hand is constantly unaware of what the right is doing, and it's almost always the rank and file left holding the bag for toxic and asinine management decisions. Forcing return to office when most of the current staff was hired as indefinitely remote, refusing to fill vacant positions, refusing to hire from within while simultaneously rejecting every external applicant as the teams suffer from being critically understaffed, and management feels like abusing workers and dismissing their concerns is "tough love." Talent leaves in droves and tenure is not appreciated nor valued. They talk a big game about valuing their employees, and then hang them out to dry. I'd stay as far away from this company as possible.

Greedy Company Not Focused on Employees

Pros

You can work remotely. There are some good eggs in the bunch that are smart and want to grow.

Cons

Limited or unclear paths for career advancement can be frustrating and demotivating. Inadequate communication between management and employees- ALWAYS. Lack of transparency and overall team spirit. Upper management is aimless and care about the $$$ over employees. Not an inclusive, supportive environment. Also fired a lot of members that were contributing highly to the organization and moved in people from competing companies.

Pros

High growth company The leadership tries to portray an energetic, collaborative spirit which could be fun, if the day to day didn't cancel out any positive energy they try to create (At least they try, I guess) Pay and benefits good at the upper levels

Cons

The day to day is difficult, little resources and the foundational tools are not in place. There are tools used that are outdated, some tools and resources are used with many work arounds causing duplication of effort. Tools are not being used to their potential. and fire drills that take up employee time on, vs. working on the business. Meetings, meetings, meetings that are pointless which information can be conveyed in other ways. Emails, emails, emails that are don’t pertaining to what you are doing or care about. You still have to read them to be sure there is no hidden agenda. Teams, teams, teams there are so many groups that related to each other not sure which one to use and finding valuable information that was given is challenging. Between all the extra meetings, emails, and team messages it's a waste of time and then you still need to get work done....unproductive. Leadership is unrealistic about the capabilities. Focused on the next big idea and innovations when we're not doing the basics well.....at all! Every week there is some "issue or problem" that comes up that takes time and affects the client the confidence of the system. New ideas are not thought through / tested thoroughly before putting them out there. ..everyone scrambles, moves on the next emergency and you wonder if anything got fixed "with the bug"? it would be a good place to work and the pieces are there but the bad outweighs the good and ultimately most weeks it's just frustrating when you look back on your week and what was accomplished. How many hours had to be worked to accomplish what was done.
