Pros

You might work here because you're into space, satellites, or geo-software, but I work here because I am surrounded by incredibly smart and thoughtful human beings. My teammates are compassionate, empathetic, and problem-solvers. I also get a tremendous amount of responsibility and exposure that has accelerated my personal and professional growth. It's an honor and a pleasure to interact with these people on a day to day basis.

Cons

It's not your typical silicon valley start-up, we build and launch satellites which is super stressful and doesn't come with guarantees, which can be debilitating. What we're doing is not easy and so we struggle to get things right, you have to be comfortable with a certain level of ambiguity and chaos.

Pros

-Intimate team dynamics -There's a learning and development program providing resources for employees to grow beyond their role -All hands meetings with the CEO -TONS of opportunities within the company to get involved with different projects because it's a startup that really does feel like it wants to grow in a lot of ways -Exciting mission -Get to work with rocket scientists...literally

Cons

-Shifts in priorities/projects making this an environment where someone flexible will thrive versus someone attached to traditional methods. -Location within SOMA is not the best but it's close to the food trucks and Trader Joe's

Cons

Have to be comfortable with constantly shifting priorities. Have to be flexible and comfortable with change.
