Pros

I have been working for PlanetArt for 4+ years in multiple departments and have worked under different types of managers. And there was one thing that was consistent throughout. It was our executive team and I have witnessed how they grew the company at an accelerated rate and at the same time really worked with their peoples in accomplishing many feats for the company to do so. In my book that kind of commitment and leadership is truly amazing. They also really believed in me when I was down and really brought me up when I started performing well. Many companies wouldn’t do this especially one of this size, in the end it is the people who believe in you even when mistakes are made. Another huge pro are the people you work with. They get into the trenches with you and really battle with you throughout the year, especially in the 4th quarter. This really builds a form of comradery that will stay with you over the years. The company also did well during covid when transitioning people over into remote work and also slowly bringing them back when quarantine was lifted. This shows that the company definitely cares about the well-being of their employees. I truly believe I am one of the success stories in this company and if I can do it anyone else can.

Cons

Your work life balance sometimes may come into jeopardy during certain periods of time and of course you have your amazing bosses and your mediocre bosses, but you would expect that in any job.

Pros

No politics. No backstabbing. I've worked at large companies where that is part of the culture. You won't get that here. Everyone really does get along. It is a fast paced environment and you have to be able to pivot. But that's the e-commerce business. The CEO and President have been doing this for many years and know what they are doing. Decisions are made quickly and no red tape. You're also given ownership of your product. You're not some cog in the wheel who's sole job is optimizing the conversion funnel on a daily basis. You can make an impact at a global scale. Lastly, the business is solid. Year over year double digit growth. PlanetArt might not be a household name, but the mobile apps in the portfolio are featured on the App Store, are included in promotions with T-Mobile and Apple, and the sheer number of mobile users, orders and revenue generated from over a dozen countries is no laughing matter.

Cons

Roadmap and priorities can shift causing some frustrations within the team. However it's all data driven and based on AB testing.
