Insufficient project planning led to unrealistic timelines and constant rework. Direct manager's feedback style crossed professional boundaries into what felt emotionally abusive - public humiliation, contradictory directives, and comments that attacked competence rather than addressing specific work issues. Management displayed emotional volatility, making it difficult to gauge performance and feel psychologically safe. Performance improvement processes lacked clear, objective criteria and felt punitive rather than developmental. Concerns raised about workload, planning, and management approach were not adequately addressed by upper leadership. High-stress environment during major projects, with EM stress displaced onto team members.

Planning Center still has some carryover structures and processes from when it was a startup that can lead to uncertainty in some situations. Leadership has been actively working on streamlining the organization to help mitigate these growing pains, so maybe this is a pro depending on perspective.
