Pros
-The pay is pretty much the only thing that keeps people here, and it's not even good for the amount of work you do in 8 hours. -Good opportunities for overtime (always needed cause they are always short staffed).
Cons
-Unsafe nurse-patient ratios (15-22 patients on vents, etc, 25+ on night shift). -Too much gossiping between staff (rumors spread often). -Tense atmosphere due to employees constantly gossiping and getting into business that isn't theirs. -No time for breaks, yet it is taken out of the pay, regardless of whether or not you took a lunch break. -Lack of teamwork. Employees not willing to help each other. -No parking for staff during business hours. -No room to put personal items on unit. -Unfair schedules, poor staffing office. -Provided uniforms hot and not breathable (building is always warm, too). -Picky nurses who expect things to be done for them between shifts, but fail to do things for the next shift. -No opportunities for career advancement. -Bad insurance plan. -Does not help with maternity leave. -No options to help with schooling. -You only get a weekend/two days off every two weeks. -CNA's take 10+ minutes to answer call lights. Stay away from this place. It seems good during the interview, then goes downhill once you're in orientation.
