Struggling with Diversity and Inclusion

Pros

Visionary product, values focused CEO, affinity groups forming to help minority employees

Cons

Sadly HR focuses more on external promotions than working with and affecting the many underrepresented employees who experience racism and inequalities every day. Employees who speak up are labeled as agitators where myself and many other minorities have experienced real retaliation for giving honest feedback. No real improvements have been made during this time of social injustice, employees continue to experience pain, and HR keeps applying for parity and belonging awards. Bottom line, they do not care enough to change.

I’m really sorry to hear that this was your experience. This was not our intent and what our team worked hard to create this year in the midst of all the tough events. We care more about making meaningful changes within our company — for and with our team members —, openly and honestly listening and understanding in order to make systemic changes, and investing equitably. Thank you for sharing your experience. - Anita

Pros

Access to good tech; free subscription to the software. They'll try to make you feel really good about being part of the team. You get to play at being a tech big-shot.

Cons

All of the feel-good, team-building stuff is empty posturing and it's really obvious. They put so much focus on making everybody feel good in the moment (hello Mormon niceness) that they forego truly constructive critique and thus they ignore what isn't going so well. I put one star because it honestly felt like a cult of non-performance with a wannabe motivational speaker as the CEO. The 1% initiative is purely a marketing ploy as well and if you haven't drunk the Kool-Aid, it's super obvious. If you have ever had a negative thought about late-stage capitalism in your life, avoid this place.

Pros

free snacks, free drinks, they say that they believe in having a good culture (but they don't)

Cons

People at the Director level are allowed to treat employees HORRIBLY. I have friends in the IT department and can't believe how they are treated.

Hey there, Thank you for the feedback. I’m sorry that this is happening. I encourage your friends in IT to talk with their People Team Business Partner to resolve any issues, if they don’t feel comfortable talking directly with their leader(s). It’s important that if any of us experience something that’s out of alignment, that we get it handled. We don’t want issues existing that are in the way of a great work experience. - Anita
