Pros

It’s a great place to learn and grow skills around solution consulting, a lot of different industries and stakeholders you could talk to and never-ending opportunities to learn and become an expert in great culture work life balance

Cons

After the company went public and got bought out by Vista and has passed around it’s created a bunch of siloed teams with no transparency into what’s happening in my time there were many layoffs, making working there stressful and never knowing when your day will be your last

Thank you for sharing your perspective. It’s great to hear that your experience was full of learning. As you know, learning and upskilling is what we do for our customers and it’s crucial that this part of our mission shows up for our team members as well. I also acknowledge your frustrations. I know that past changes and organizational shifts created uncertainty for our teams, and that can be stressful. I also agree that things can be siloed at times. As a leadership team, we’re doing our best to transform the organization and remedy some of the things that are hindering us (like working in silos). We’re also taking a lot of steps to bring even more transparency to our team members and we’re excited to roll those out. Thank you for your contributions and best of luck in your next venture. Pros

The few people who remain are still fantastic. But the company seems determined to push them all out.

Cons

The c-level strategy is a joke. The one member of the C-Suite who seemed to be contributing positively has left the business. Almost everyone else has proven themselves to be completely unsure of what to do next. There’s been a recent push to micromanage every single aspect of our work, we have little to no control over variable compensation, and the company seems determined to avoid paying out commission.

Thank you for sharing your perspective and I’m sorry to hear your experience has been so negative. I acknowledge we’ve had a lot of change over the years which has caused some frustration. I want to emphasize that our leadership team is confident in where we’re headed and how we’re going to get there. At Strategy Day last month we shared our key priorities and you’ll continue to get transparent updates from leaders about those priorities. We also discussed the new concept of “Big Rocks,” which are the critical actions each ELT member needs to take over the next 90 days to drive the business forward. This alignment is critical to executing against our priorities and setting the business up for long-term success. If you are unsure about how you can contribute to this strategy, I encourage you to reach out to your leader. A quick note on compensation: while structures can vary by segment, commissions are always paid based on attainment. If you have questions about your variable compensation, please reach out to your leader. While I don’t think I’ll be able to change your feelings with this response, I do hope that you’ll give your business partner or myself a chance to discuss some of your concerns in more detail and try to turn things around. My door is always open. Beckey Woodard Cole Chief People Officer

Pros

Amazing, talented, people who make coming to work enjoyable Unlimited PTO that you can actually take. Reasonable compensation

Cons

That most of those people mentioned in the "pros" section will suddenly be laid off at some point. Starting back in 2022 Pluralsight laid off 400 people and then continued going downhill from there. Then usually at the end of a quarter (Q1, Q2, etc.) there were more, smaller rounds of layoffs. That never really stopped, and made it a stressful place to work. They also got rid of their content support team, the ones who would respond daily to students who reported that content was outdated or not working as expected. They eliminated that team and also the content maintenance team whose jobs were to fix and update those broken things. And although customers are still reporting those issues, most of them are disappearing into the void and not being seen by anyone which is a really wild way to "champion the customer".
