Pros

You've read it countless times in previous reviews - the people at Pluralsight continue to be great.

Cons

Continual leadership changes, coupled with a weaker product and an extremely competitive marketplace is continuing to make life difficult here. If interviewing within the Success org, take special care to scope out your hiring manager, as the Directors have all been replaced with 'people-manager' drones that lack any understanding of the customer journey or "why" customers buy.

Pros

The people are great to work with! My team is awesome, a nice mix of long-timers and newbies, always something new to learn, people happy to share. The company is very cool. It's easy to get behind the product (online tech training) and the global nature of the business. Upper management maintains a good communication cadence. There are a lot of programs designed to include employees who might feel a little isolated due to the remote-first atmosphere. Onboarding was great.

Cons

I hear people complain about the turnover in executives and I have witnessed that a little, but it's not alarming to me. It's a part of growth. The only real con I've experienced so far is that it can be a challenge to find the right subject matter expert for a given topic.

It’s great to hear that you’re having a positive experience at Pluralsight and that you feel connected to your team and our mission. We have a blended workforce at Pluralsight with team members working remote, hybrid in-office roles, so creating an inclusive and engaging environment is something we continue to prioritize. Cross-functional collaboration is very important, and we have a few initiatives in place to encourage more of these connections. That said, I agree there’s room to do more, and I’d love to see us expand on this in 2025. Your suggestion of focus groups is a great one, and we’ll take it into consideration as we continue to look for ways to bring teams together to solve problems. I also hear your feedback on the challenge of finding the right subject matter expert. As part of our focus on operational rigor, we’re working to enhance our processes and documentation, which should help make it easier to navigate expertise across the company over time. - Beckey Woodard Cole

Pros

Everyone is ready, willing and able to roll their sleeves up and get dirty. High value on lifelong learners. My opinion and feedback is constantly requested and appreciated. Company supports professional development requests, and outlines the steps I need to take for a promotion/move into other roles within the business. Pay is mostly in line with the market. Product is at the top of the marketplace, but product team isn't satisfied and continues to innovate. Customers are extremely satisfied with the product. Benefits are pretty good. Great work/life balance.

Cons

I wish the pay was slightly higher. I wish the week of Christmas/New Year's the company shut down. I wish there equity options.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts. It’s wonderful to hear that you’ve had such a positive experience working here. I particularly loved hearing that you feel supported and empowered to develop professionally. We're proud of our culture of continuous development and appreciate that you’re part of it. We’re committed to supporting your ongoing professional journey. In regard to your con about the holiday shutdown, while a full company-wide shutdown is not feasible given our global nature, we encourage you to take advantage of your unlimited PTO benefit and work with your leader to ensure you can still enjoy time off during that period. We appreciate your feedback on salary. Our Total Rewards team is always analyzing our compensation and benefits offerings to ensure they remain competitive within the marketplace. Thank you for your continued support and for recognizing what we’re doing well. We’re excited to keep building on our successes as we head into 2025! - Beckey Woodard Cole
