      Pros

      Podium has definitely been the most challenging yet rewarding work experience in my short career. Being such a new company, there is a lot of room for personal development by taking the initiative and being proactive in finding solutions. Working hard here does pay off.

      Typical growing pains of a smaller tech startup (lack of communication from executives, lack of established job responsibilities, etc.)

      Podium is an exciting place to be. There's always something new going on, some new goal achieved. - Benefits are great - Exciting environment - Amazing current growth and good future potential - Management often inspiring - Actively supports women, minorities and LGBT community in software - Huge amounts of swag (before COVID-19 outbreak)

      Podium has a lot of growing pains -- some of which it hasn't fully addressed yet. It thinks you'll stay for the hype and growth potential, and so doesn't always pay competitive salaries, provide interesting work, or have a quiet, productive work environment. - Salaries not always competitive - Opportunities for promotion surprisingly limited - Huge amount of tech debt means you could spend most of your time fixing bugs and dousing fires - Immature software development process makes it hard to know what you should be doing
