Losing the culture

Pros

Podium is full of people who want to make things work. There's a huge cultural drive to do more and be better.

Cons

Recently the company has struggled keeping the stated values front and center. New people managers are concerned with credit and siloing their teams, product managers refuse to add fixes to the roadmap, and leadership seems completely rudderless for direction.

Pros

Pay was fairly competitive for tech

Cons

Next to zero support for the remote teams, training was just videos that don’t help you learn anything, the whole onboarding/orientation process was to blow smoke and make you think it’s not just another toxic sales job. Company is nothing like the perfect culture it pretends it has. 1,2,3 clap clap

Pulled in a million directions

Pros

Serious growth potential for your career. They'll give you opportunities to punch above your weight, and develop skills you didn't have before. A lot of great people to work with. Some very smart hardworking folks. Nice facilities and decent benefits. Overall the company represents a huge potential and can be a huge company in Utah and beyond.

Cons

Terrible work/life balance boundaries. Waaaay too much expectation to work outside normal hours, and to respond immediately, any time of day or on vacation, in pretty much every department around the business. You will routinely be asked to do something that sounds impossible, and get berated if you aren't able to achieve it. If you can achieve it, you'll get a pat on the back. Salaries really aren't very competitive. Business is constantly changing. Your job changes week to week depending on the executive currently in charge of your dept.
