Pros

The Podium Platform is truly amazing and works great

Cons

Where to start? I have been at Podium for what seems like forever and used to tell people I never want to leave and I loved it here. Now, that couldn't be farther than the truth. We preach the "Podium Math" all day every day but the truth is top performers aren't following the "math" they are force-fed opportunities. Open territories, trade shows, and inbounds are now being fed to a very small group of reps who constantly hit quota, and then leadership uses this small group as examples to force-feed us that Podium Math works. Make 40 dials a day and you'll hit quota but if Podium paid attention they'd see the small number of reps hitting aren't calling at all and are closing 80-90% of their deals outside of their own territories. They don't have time because they are being favored with sets from every place you can guess but somehow the rest of us are supposed to get there without the help and special treatment they get. Support teams no longer exist so if you close a deal good luck having them not cancel and you are constantly trying to outsell your number of cancellations so you still make a commission check. For a business that gets paid on opportunities, we sure waste a lot of time on getting sets so 95% of our sets are complete trash just so it looks like our mandatory sets/calls are being hit. We went from being the best local business in Utah to being a total crapshoot. At least 1/2 of the sales floor is interviewing around because the call center mentality we have turned into is a disaster, support is gone, what's next? Sad day to see such an amazing company with so much potential crumble and implode before our eyes. I hope Podium is ready to live and die off the small number of reps they continually feed because they won't have anyone else stick around much longer.

Pros

-The energy from the music in the bathrooms is the best. - Ordinary benefits for a tech company. You certainly are a means to an ends to the folks who have the expensive cars. -Product is cool, but not that cool. -Had they not thought of payments I can't imagine the outcome. Also, the payments product is VERY basic.

Cons

-In order to be successful in general you need to be a suck up, work hard, and be lucky. You can't just work hard... you need the other two likely as well. -it's a fake rocket ship. We only keep selling because the total addressable market is so large. If not for that this would have tanked. -Not for everyone (as they say) and they couldn't be more right. It's a cult. But one you can get out of.
