Pros

Great customers to work with, good teammates. good atmosphere when management is not around nit picking.

Cons

management is subpar, they have retaliated against me due to concerns of safety and the intimidation and threats still continues, I dont think anyone knows what a whistleblower is and what the laws are.

Pros

If you're looking for a fast track into a great career then this is the program for you. If you don't have kids or other obligations and you can put in 8 weeks of full time training...coming home during the first 4 weeks and ignoring everything and everyone else in your life to do 4 hours of homework, and then taking the same tests 20 times then this is great. If you want a decent job without needing a college education. (That's why I did it) The pay is about as good as other sales jobs. Fast growing company. Lots and lots and loootttssss of prospect customers, no cold calling. Great time off/vacation package. The new location in Williston is AMAZING and there's more to come.

Cons

The training is awful. It teaches you insurance BASICS only and doesn't really prepare you for real life insurance sales. They admit this during the training-all the time-and even say that most of the info in the textbook you use, you can just dismiss. The hours really suck. I was looking forward to working at an insurance agency. But it's really just a call center with a slave like environment. They are getting very strict about break times. Two fifteen minute breaks and your 1 hour lunch is all you get. Sounds fine but when you start to go over that just a little... Choas. Say you needed to make a phone call during one break, then for your other break you want to run and get a coffee. But then that coffee makes your stomach upset and you spend a little extra time in the bathroom. Emails start to fly about how people are going "way over" on their break times. If you are busy preparing documents for the sale you just had, and you leave yourself unavailable to take calls and a few calls are waiting more then a minute, you'll get blasted with messages and people coming over to you telling you to take calls. I feel like most days I'm one big mistake from losing my license because I'm not given proper time to do back end paperwork after a sale. Also the sales are great the leads are plentiful but we would make even more sales and more money if we were given proper follow-up time. We get way too many leads to keep up with it all. It's very overwhelming. Oh and if you need help with something you better be prepared to walk around the whole floor before finding someone who's available. Team leaders are expected to take calls, so if you need help you need to Skype someone and hope they reply while you've got a growingly impatient customer on the line. Most days I feel like a robot. Saying and doing the same things, and while that's most jobs I don't mean it in the way you're thinking. I mean it in the slave robot kind of way. I feel nervous about leaving my cubicle to do anything. People feel anxious to take too much time on doing things right. And then service messages people and gives them a service score on the policy they wrote, they deduct points for the stupidest things, and some service reps will deduct for things that others don't there's no real consistency. When you ask certain team leads for help they're awesome. But others not so much. They will give half answers or no answers because they're too busy on the phone. Many times they're not even around.
