Pros

Very neuro-affirming mission. Great collaboration with my client's clinical team.

Cons

Not always clear what the expectations are regarding session notes (in terms of content, length, amount of detail needed, etc.)

Awful company culture

Pros

The clinical work performed is impactful and meaningful.

Cons

Over the last year, the culture has shifted drastically. The executive team does not care about anyone that is not on the executive team. They only care about making money and profit and fired countless people because of it. Very little HONEST communication from leadership to employees. High pressure, low reward.

Pros

- Everyone on my team is so supportive of not only me but of each other, prioritizing communication, honesty, and care. - The job itself is so fun! It gives me the chance to be silly and have fun while knowing I'm making a difference for my clients and their families. - It has opened me up to the world of autism and different types of therapies; this job truly teaches you something new with every client during every session. - The pay is great!! I receive compensations for floating holidays and drive time, even as a part-time employee.

Cons

- Definitely takes a while to adjust to the flow of things, especially writing the post-session notes. It, of course, gets easier, but it does take a lot of time and patience. - Finding clients, at least in my area, has been tricky, so finding a new client or multiple clients within a nearby range is not always possible. - Coming from someone who is also a full-time student, it can be easy to lose track of the duties outside of sessions (meetings, phone calls, etc.). I tend to have to set multiple reminders for those sorts of things.

Pros

The work life balance was great, felt like a team until we started to grow rapidly. The services we provided was rewarding

Cons

It started out great then things shifted with the culture. Leadership and clinical Started to blame ppl or departments when the process should be re-reviewed with growth what use to work wasn’t working any longer with no change. Burnout happened rapidly with star players as all the work was dumped on us. Csuits were putting pressure on senior/mid level leadership and junior leadership was feeling all the pressure yet again no process changes

Pros

Seems like a great model in autism

Cons

I was hired to work for this company. Offered a job with a pretty decent starting pay. And then moved across country to work specifically for this location. After attending training and being assigned a client. I was then told, I am not the right fit for the company because I am not personable, after meeting with the case manager and the Dr via teams once for 30 minutes. I was never given the opportunity to actually work for the company in order for them to make an assessment of my work ethic. Keep in mind I’ve been in this field for 4 years and just completed an assignment in Seattle. Great company with a lot of potential. But when management is only interested in hiring who they want to hire and not who is actually qualified to do the job, you experience gaps in service and poorly trained behavior techs. Leading to high turnover.
