Pros

Many opportunities for nursing employee education such as IV training, wound assessment and treatment, nursing assessment etc. Provides nursing staff with easily accessible free continuing education credits online.

Cons

Do more with less, less pay, less staff, less material. The expectation is to be a worker bee, no consideration for the human in each of its workers.

Pros

Great training for your specialty. Getting together with others in your field for ideas and support, and hands on corporate management.

Cons

One bad apple spoils the entire bunch. A psychotic Admin who was inappropriate to #1. other top notch professionals, to #2. families of residents, to #3. other managers, while saying non-pc things about everyone. It often felt like a catty girls club, with childish antics, gossiping, and entitled millennials not focusing on the care of the residents, but more so on unkindness. The only redeeming factor is that corporate gave that admin her walking papers, as was needed, when the truth came out. The retaliation one is not supposed to deal with is rampant there, and needs to be taken more seriously. It is a lawsuit waiting to happen.

Admission RN

Pros

Benefits. Health, dental, vision. Schedule was good for me. Temperature of building was comfortable.

Cons

No orientation, victim of "the click". Written up for arguing when trying to explain the wound nurse was not using good infection control practices. Written up when I had difficulty renewing my RN license and the ADON was working with an expired green card. Basically harassment !! DON had a hidden camera and microphone, was known to a few staff members.
