Thank you for taking the time to write a review; we do place a premium on work/life balance so are glad the stability of your work hours contributed to this. Regarding growth opportunities, while we recognize we may not always have promotional openings available when a talented employee is ready for that next move, we are proud of PLI’s effort to provide professional development to all staff to prepare them for this possibility. An example is that we offer LinkedIn Learning access to every employee.

PLI certainly does care about its employees. Thank you for acknowledging that and for taking the time to write a review. Regarding advancement, it is often the case in any organization that there are limits to the number of available promotional opportunities, and we recognize that this is felt more keenly when someone feels ready to take on more. Having said that, we are proud that we have, in fact, been able to provide professional growth to so many, both in terms of expanding skills sets as well as taking on new roles with new titles.

Pros

PLI is a leader in what they do and the brand is incredibly strong with clients. It's a pleasure representing a leader and a valued service. PLI re-invests into the product with new services and expands each year on the subject areas we cover. Leadership has a vision for how the company can improve and communicates this well. As a non-profit, the culture prioritizes a worklife balance. You will be challenged to perform and have a sense of ownership over your work but this is not a pressure cooker of an environment. Management understands th e importance of life outside of work. Joining PLI would be a great opportunity for anyone who wants to find success (through building a book of business or managing existing clients) and who also places a premium in a life outside of work.

Cons

Limited Career Trajectory. Because of this, the best sales people leave, and I fear as this continues, the sales culture will erode.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience at PLI; we appreciate your recognition of the strength of the PLI brand and our commitment to work life balance for our employees. While we recognize that we don’t always have available promotional opportunities when one might feel ready to move up, we are proud that our sales and account management employees are able to grow professionally from frequent, high-quality training, the ability to expand one’s base of accounts and to receive PLI’s generous commission incentive awards.
