We are glad to hear that you enjoyed working with us at PLI and that you appreciated the work/life balance we advocate for our wonderful staff. While we don’t like to lose talent, we understand that promotional opportunities are not always available due to our size and structure. At the same time, we strive to provide developmental paths for all staff through our array of training offerings such as LinkedIn Learning and PLI University programs. It is our goal to provide new challenges and career growth to our employees. Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback and for recommending PLI as a great place to work!

Pros

-Industry leading product -Stable 9-5 -Salary and benefits -Work life balance -Good boss and team -Opportunity to develop software skills during free time -LinkedIn Learning

Cons

-I had the expectation that the Sales Operations Analyst position would be more focused on analytics, metrics, report building, data analysis, and providing recommendations. The majority of my time was spent on data entry and clean up, email routing, manual prospect research, investigating system issues, and various administrative tasks. The simplicity of the work made the role feel expendable. -The Salesforce platform is a work in progress. The process changes were constant and often felt unnecessary. The rollouts were chaotic and negatively interfered with workflows.

We are glad to hear that you generally had a positive experience throughout your employment at PLI, and thank you for sharing what you liked most about your time with us. While we understand that the position you held at PLI turned out not to be aligned with your personal career goals, we continue to view the contribution of this position as quite valuable to the ongoing success of the Membership Services team. We have made great strides in leveraging the Salesforce platform in the last year or so and appreciate your feedback on this. Thank you for the contributions that you made at PLI during your time with us, and best of luck in your future endeavors

Pros

There are a few cool people who work there

Cons

So many. Working for PLI was one of the worst experiences of my life. I wish I could put into words how stuck up the higher ups are. They also have cliques- if you're not in a clique, you can't advance. But a better demonstration than anything I could ever say is this email that was sent to the entire company from one of it's oldest employees about their lack of sharing important Covid related information with staff. "Although this is an [unprecidented] and unbelievable time we are going through, and there is no time to point fingers, our exective team should be more transparent failed us. ... This past Thursday I found that a couple of people tested positive for the virus on the [redacted] floor at [redacted address]. I am pretty sure and confident that this was conveyed to the higher up at PLI, yet the executive group didn't say anything to us. I have [condition that puts you at high risk for complications from Covid] and have been at PLI this past week every day... I have invested close to 14 years at PLI... I have lost respect and confidence with our executive group."

Managers and staff work very hard together to maintain a welcoming environment for all at PLI and encourage everyone to have a voice. This includes those who, regrettably, are not benefitting from a good employment experience, which is our goal for each employee. It is unfortunate that we were not given the opportunity to address the concerns of the writer during their period of employment with us. Regarding how PLI has addressed the Covid-19 pandemic, since we made the decision to have all staff work from home on March 13th which, as with many other companies, included PLI-provided equipment, flexible schedules and our trust that employees would do the best work they could remotely, the leadership of PLI has made the safety of our employees a top priority. This genuine concern and other COVID-related guidance has been communicated frequently to staff in literally dozens of emails and Zoom calls led by from HR and management. In addition, all details on PLI’s Work from Home (WFH) and Return to Office (RTO) plans have been shared on our internal intranet accessible to everyone. Many of us were understandably anxious in the early days of the pandemic in March when so much was unknown, and incomplete and inaccurate information was swirling about from a confusing variety of sources. This is when the referenced statement circulated, and it is unfortunate this writer has used such a serious crisis in this way for the posting. It is always disappointing to read such feedback, but we feel strongly that it this is not an accurate reflection of the many efforts we have made to communicate with and accommodate our staff during these unprecedented times. The former employee is welcome to contact anyone in HR to further discuss concerns.
