Underpaid and overworked.

Pros

Being able to work from home occasionally was useful. The work experience has thankfully led to a better position within a better company.

Cons

Promises of promotions, pay rises and better planned projects never materialise and you just suffer through the same continuous loop of being overworked, underpaid and having management milk you for all you are worth in order to meet their own targets. Then they take it upon themselves to downgrade your awarded bonus at the end of the year to encourage you to work harder.

Pros

Loads of parking spaces for staff. Lovely canteen and great selection of foods available. Excellent coffee and tea docks everywhere. Wonderful views of the country side.

Cons

Seriously below average salaries. McDonald staff get paid almost double than an IT specialist does. High staff turnover. No account ability for shoddy management. Yearly reviews are supposed to be based on achieved targets, but are discarded if team lead or manager haven't a clue what your role is. Middle management are demi gods and bulling and manipulation is the norm. Industry standards with regards to remote working does not happen,as in you will not be subsidized for personal broadband if you have to work from home. Yearly bonuses are the bare minimum & options to covert it into Prudential shares are a nightmare to navigate.
