Pros

Can learn a lot of useful skills, pays full college tuition.

Cons

Crazy work environment, unrealistic expectations, expected to work 24/7, difficult to get a hold of anyone and there is no clear directory to follow in order to get the answers to do your job. Excessive meetings and reports that do not add value.

Decent company to establish a career

Pros

Pratt & Whitney offers competitive pay, great benefits, industry-standard vacation time, and plenty of affinity groups. The company also makes a decent effort to recruit and retain a diverse workforce.

Cons

Navigating the bureaucracy of a large company like P&W is quite a challenge and often makes processes a lot less efficient. For example, tasks that could easily and efficiently be accomplished by a small team of 3 or 4 engineers often end up involving too many people and wasting manpower resources.

Pros

Aerospace is one of the most challenging and highly technical industries to work in. If you are someone who wants to solve the most difficult engineering problems Pratt & Whitney offers countless opportunities to work on state of the art Jet Propulsion.

Cons

At this point in P&W history its hard to see any cons. The order book is larger than anytime in history. The company is building a new engineering center forming a campus with the UTC Research Center. This all exciting but if I were to express this as a con the demands are outpacing the the supply of skilled engineers. So if you don't want to work harder than you ever have this might be seen as a con by many.
