Pros

Great amenities such as: cafeteria on campus, bikes & ping pong to 'de-stress' during the day, free parking, Great benefits including more PTO. People for the most part are willing to work together nicely.

Cons

The upper management needs HR 101 People Skills training in a big way. They appear to be so concerned for the security of their position that they lose sight of the goal and input from the folks Doing the Work Day After Day After Day.

Pros

Premera's people are smart, kind, respectful, and fun to work with. It feels like a family, which is hard to find. Work/Life balance is good in many parts of the company - and having an employer that supports me when I have a family emergency is important to me. The people and the flexibility are the reason I'm still there.

Cons

Premera has done a number of layoffs in the last six months, and leadership decided not to communicate outside of impacted teams - which has resulted in low morale and paranoia. Premera is not a good place for women who are looking to grow in their careers unless they're willing to play the game - and play it well. Senior leadership is talking about culture change, innovation and transparency, but it's been nothing but lip service so far.
