Pros

Good company with noble cause that helps hospitals provde better healthcare at a better cost Middle management is solid and allows for a good work life balance, but I hear it varies from group to group. Compensation is good and there is a yearly bonus to boot. Strong emphasis on ethics in the marketplace. Overall a nice place to work.

Cons

Sr. Mgmt struggles sometimes executing the vision, which can cause a lot of wasted work when it comes to product development/implementation. The company is developing lots of new ways to help hospitals, and there are loads of opportunity for the business, but employees get pigeon-holed fast. If you work on something, you can count on supporting it until its end of life.

Pros

Mission driven, good industry, very focused on its mission and values, good, well-intentioned colleagues, a very good work environment and open culture tjhat really cares about serving its hospital membership.

Cons

Charlotte, some element of politics and fiefdoms. Sometimes the vision of success is unclear and can lead staff to spin its wheels. Need to ensure that staff is provided stronger opportunities to grow and develop to meet new requirements for a shifting strategy.

Pros

Benefits package is the best I have seen. The Charlotte office building is modern and nice. Teamwork is valued.

Cons

Management seems to value employees who "kiss up". Whenever I worked there, there was a guy that was a complete "kiss *ss" but he got all of the attention because he was one of those attention seekers. His work was no different from others, if not less desirable. Those who work and do a good job are overlooked if they don't seek out attention from management. There doesn't seem to be a lot of room for advancement. You seem to get "pigeon-holed" in the area that you come into the company in.
