Pros

Premise Health is a national corporation that is quickly making a name for health & wellness in the employer-onsite and retail worlds. The company offers varying medical services including physicians, NP/PAs, RNs, PTs, and exercise. The compensation is negotiable. Because the company is based out of Tennessee, there is not point of reference for the "going market rate" so when negotiating pay, also ask for what is on the higher range of fair. Benefits are decent. Health insurance varies in choices and can be pricey ($60-250 range for a single person). Be sure to negotiate a higher pay for this reason alone. PTO is 4-5 weeks per year plus 9 company paid holidays.

Cons

Although there is a lot of support for continuity and educational opportunities through Premise Health, each site is managed differently because each site is geographically separated and responds to a different population's needs. Some locations have multiple sites with a large staff but some are slim. Each site relies on the site lead to manage operations. Some providers get taken advantage of and do not function at the highest of their abilities which causes burnout. Because everything is so spread out, there is no connection to the company and sites/employees feel isolated.

Pros

Great client, salary, benefits, work-life balance and the ability to really take care of patients. Opportunities to join different committees and share experiences with colleagues from different client sites.

Cons

Company was great when it was CHS...then the merger with Take Care happened and the company became Premise. They said it's a merger but seemed more like Take Care completely took over the leadership and policies. Great people in corporate office and great clinicians across all client sites are leaving in droves for other opportunities where they feel more appreciated for their skills. Seems like Premise doesn't want to retain high quality staff and rather settle with newer and cheaper staff. It all comes down to cost cutting at the end. Loyal employees with the company for many years have become "too expensive" (due to annual raises and accrual PTO) and therefore the company doesn't want to remain loyal to these employees.
