Pros

Mileage reimbursement 401K company match Benefits

Cons

Pitching customers in Wal-Mart, lots of rejections, especially in more affluent areas, keeping motivation in all locations is a challenge Some WM staff/locations not always helpful or friendly depending on past experiences/issues, can be very counterproductive to hitting KPIs Challenge to find Managers and Staff that will stay motivated and in "hunter" mentality during entire shifts, this causes high turnover rates - it's very sink or swim

Pros

My area manager was flexible with timing for my lunch breaks and shifts in general so I could manage child care pick up/drop offs. If you have a good knowledge base in wireless sales this is a very laid back environment to work in, without anyone breathing down your neck and micro-managing.

Cons

Depending on your location inside the Walmart (electronics vs front checkout area) there will be different selling opportunities. People generally browse through electronics department or are looking to steal something in the area. It provides entertainment but not as many solid leads on sales.
