Pros
As a “mini” 5 hour a day shifter it’s great. The pay is also great I’ve been at Prent for over 2 years. We frequently have every other Friday off, and never work weekends or holidays.
Cons
You are physically worked very hard for what you are paid for. The atmosphere is like that of being in high school all over again. If you’re not in that certain “click” then you will have a problem with many of the people that you work with, including sometimes your lead. HR refuses to let anybody transfer to different “MODS” and you are pretty much forced to deal with things on your own or look for a different job. Also many of the people that hold positions such as lead or machine operators have no idea how to talk to the inspector/packers in a decent manner.
