Unpleasant Environment

Pros

Relatively decent benefits and casual dress

Cons

This is not a company you can grow with;especially if you are looking to enhance your technical acumen; be wary of getting assigned to a specific client or account. Management will promise things you were not hired to deliver; which can become stressful and demoralizing. Managemeny is woefully lacking of communication skills and will run to HR to resolve minor miscommunications/ conflict; also confuses positional authority with actual leadership resulting in an attitude of condescension towards subordinates. This directly contributed to 10 departures during my time at Presidio. Undue familiarity at management/HR levels; leaving no recourse for the workers if they are engaging in foul play. Overall a disenchanting experience and unfortunately, cannot in good conscience recommend.

STAY AWAY

Pros

The ONLY pro is occasional telecommuting.

Cons

Well... Best advice I can give is stay away! This company is on the fast track to nowhere. The worst possible thing they could've done was go public in March of 2017; sadly the issues that plague this place precede even that event. They have cut the bonus structure for engineers, project managers and altered the compensation plan for account managers. They cut their 401k contributions among other things. In the past 3 months alone there has been a major departure of staff in engineering, sales, pre-sales, etc. There are not many people left and the company is struggling to deliver solutions to clients. Clients are frustrated and looking elsewhere. There is no communication or direction from immediate managers. They are basically MIA. Account managers make promises that can't be met and then disappear. Project managers are working a dozen+ projects at a time and forced to work 12 hour days and weekends just to fill out paperwork. Engineers are floated from project to project on a day-to-day basis and are given no time to plan/design or execute properly. The worst of all is management at all levels has no interest in genuine criticism and refuses to acknowledge a problem let alone resolve it. If you're looking to go to Presidio as either an engineer, project manager or design/architect, my advice is.....GO ELSEWHERE... If you want to drink the kool-aid and go to Presidio anyway be prepared to work 60+ hour weeks.

Pros

Presidio is a Cisco partner, but there are FAR BETTER Cisco partners to work for.

Cons

Ever since the company went public management only cares about the bottom line. There is limited to no growth potential. Raises are infrequently given (there were people in our office that hadn't had a raise in over 5 years). Morale is poor and no attempt has been made to stem the bleeding of the attrition of some very good people. Layoffs have hit hard across the company.
