Pros

Can make a lot of money in certain situations. And depending on your view no overtime ever could be seen as a pro or con. Non management seems to be good friendly people and fun to work with.

Cons

The situations that allow you to make a lot of money are partially based on luck of how busy a store is. And how unethical you are willing to be. Based on who you are talking to your rules of business practice change. For example making calls to customers. On one front you take a required class you must agree to saying you will not make calls of this kind. And during a recent Audit we were told to not mention calls at all. However we are told almost daily to make calls to guest for sales. This exact same practice follows to WTR Calls. (Calling day after sale to insure the guest will give a perfect score on a text survey) ATT says to not mention the survey at all, Prime tells you to ask at end of sale, and tother call after the fact to make sure that the scores wanted are what will be given. You are expected to sell tablets to every guest, this requires adding a new line, something that can only be done per ATT if the account holder is present not just ame autherized user, but this does not matter you should sell them. I have even seen reps access accounts without even checking the name. If ask they will say this is not allowed, while it is quietly encouraged because a sale is a sale, regardless of ethics. And as mentioned there is no overtime. Of you are trending over time you will have hours cut later in week, sometimes well below what would be necessary to stay under hours. And a write up awaits any manager that allows over time in their store. There is also some concern over customer privacy. In order to offer a guest some services you are required to read a statement by the FCC getting permission to offer I have only heard this read once during that recent audit. Not only is this not read we are to create a quote for the services for everyone that walks in, this in itself is not bad and minus the FCC statement is a good practice. The privacy issues then comes that we are to keep the customers name, phone number, and quote (with address). As well as send a copy to the local district manager to follow up. This is expected even if a guest walks in to pay a bill or buy a case and is in a hurry. I cannot say the entire company is like this. I have only worked in the Youngstown Oh area. I know people at other stores that hate the way we are expected to treat our guest, but you can't say anything because they will fire you for disagreeing. The company will also periodically ask for reviews on Google and glass door to help improve ratings. (I have not been ask to do this yet and have only seen archived emails at some stores that have been open longer than a few months about this, so they may have stopped this practice, tho from what I have seen I doubt it) Will be looking to find a more ethical employer soon.
