Pros

Nice line to work for as you're actually an employee of the cruise line as opposed to other lines where you're a concessionaire (another company that basically partners with the cruiseline). Some great managers out there, but if you get stuck with a bad one, it can make the experience equally bad - especially considering that you are not covered by any labor laws or rules when working at sea in international waters. Overall though, a good company with great travel benefits and one of the highest paying lines for shop staff.

Cons

Working at sea isn't for everyone so you have to be comfortable with small quarters, usually a roommate, working 7 days a week with hours off as opposed to days off.
