Princess Cruises Videographer

Pros

Depends on the job, but as a Videographer, was able to disembark at each port, interact with passengers, and explore the destinations. Great experience.

Cons

Pay was not the best, but considering room and board, food on the ship, and other expenses are taken care of by the company (not to mention free travel), can't really complain at all.

Pros

Most people are friendly and easy to work with

Cons

The pay is very low compared to other multi-billion dollar companies. Unless you're a director or above, forget about making anything worthwhioe

Pros

Free unlimited coffees and cappuccinos

Cons

Supervisors offer little support or guidance but VERY quick to point out mistakes and makes one feel less of a person. Benefits suck. They take out a lot out of our paychecks. The pay is terrible. For the type of work we do, the pay is minimal. It should be at least $17 per hour to start. Makes us work so hard dealing with unpleasant travel agents, most of them think that they are above us and they can abuse us. On top of that, supervisors rarely step in to ease to situations or correct the situations. They are just there to look for employee conducts or mistakes. They are quick to give write-ups or warnings. One time, I put the call on hold because I really needed to go to the restroom. I was gone for less than 2 minutes and my supervisor was waiting for me by my desk and angrily asked me where I was. I told her that I badly needed to go to the restroom. She said, "you cannot go until the call is finish". I told her if should start wearing adult diapers to work. She did not respond, I guess that meant YES. It was so degrading. Since working there, I have to take medications for panic attacks. I'm supposed to take ONE a day but most of the time, I take 3 a day. It's not right. My anxiety is to the roof.
