Pros

Flexible hours, able to work remotely and the time off is PTO rather than sick time and vacation time so you use it as you see fit

Cons

Poor training so you feel adrift when taking on a new position, and then when you struggle due to the fact that there's no formalized training, you take a hit for it in the way of compensation. The genuine lack of appreciation for their employees is overwhelmingly known throughout the company. You watch management tell you that there is no money in the budget for raises, and then go out and buy themselves an expensive toy or go on a lavish vacation. It's more who you know and how well you cuddle up to management that gets you places here. Skills and experience tend to not get you far.

Pros

Decent benefits, nice work out facilities, nice corporate campus

Cons

Can be very Stressfull. They claim it's a "great place for working moms" but I don't believe so, especailly if your job is at all related to the markets. Expect 60 hour + weeks. To me, that's not a good job for a working mom. Environment is constantly changing and can be very hard to keep up with all the changes. A lot of "red tape" and office politics. Computer systems/programs are very out of date.

Pros

Principal has phenomenal benefits, and if you find the right department, it can be a place where you can settle down and finish your career with.

Cons

The USIS Group Disability Claims department has no sense of caseload management and therefore requires you to work more than what they are asking to perform the job duties. In 1 year and a half of being there, there were over 40 resignations before I left.
