Pros
-When people leave you inherit their books if you work hard -Opportunity to learn important skills that can translate to other jobs -Meeting interesting people while cold-calling door to door -Capitalist mindset goes a long way in this role
Cons
-NO diversity, mostly white men and if you don't fit into that mold you can easily feel ostracized when they all hang out outside of work with the boss golfing and never make an effort to include you -You hit the same territories every rep has ran through and most of the good business is gone, you have to fight tooth and nail for a daily shipper -They micromanage to the point where if work starts at 7:30am and you walk in at 7:31am, you will get sent home for the day -Priority1 as a broker has no control over variances and other companies can offer FAKs, so you lose a lot of customers -If your customers don't pay their bills and have a debt less than $3000, it will come out of your gross profit at the end of the year. -When you're promoted to RSM you don't earn commission until you hit the baseline, so you can take on more responsibility and move states and not really be getting a raise -
