Pros

-great career development -benefits package is solid -commission and car allowance -in office culture -lots of growing potential to move up within the company

Cons

-long hours 10+/day -transactional business makes it difficult to retain customers -lack of focus on celebrating employee/office success -not enough support members to support sales reps -many roles you have to play once you have an established book: sales, CS, accounting (for billing discrepancies), claims, etc. -retention of employees is low

Pros

Good culture inside of the office. Have made great friends outside of the office. Good benefits on top of our salary and commission. Manager helps develop new reps so they are successful. Company is growing rapidly and there is a lot of room to move up in the company.

Cons

long 10+ hour days. Work life balance could be better. The first year is very difficult and not a lot of people make it to the 1 year mark. Salary should be higher for all the work and time put in.

Pros

Management. My director was a beast at sales and knew how to run an office to make us not hate our job and enjoy working hard for him. Their LTL TMS is really good and smooth. Their rates are really good especially on regional LTL, so if you want to focus selling small shipments youre going to have the advantage.

Cons

Door Knocking.... P1 i have to say this is a waste of time and effort. There are some incredible sales reps and freight brokers in your company and you have them walking around outside and not on the phones and emails trying to get quality business... Has to be reevaluated. FTL pricing and operations. Does not meet industry standards. Essentially you get beat on 95% of FTL loads you're trying to win against a competitor and as anyone in the freight industry will tell you, that is where you make your money.
