Best company I've worked for (When compared to other small sized organizations)

Pros

I usually hate spending time writing reviews, but I do need to voice here. In the last two weeks, I've seen bad reviews being added, and I honestly believe it is just coming from one person. Honestly you get everything you expect at a small company. Growing pains are every where, Procede Software is a small-medium sized company and you should be worried if there are no growing pains. This company is very - Flexible - Transparent - Recognizes hard-working employees (Few reviews here called it "Favoritism" , so my definition to it is "Hard working, smart, good, sincere employees are CEOs favorites") - Takes feedback, and works towards it. - Always like to improve and grow organically - It is wonderful to work alongside very passionate people and CEO

Cons

- 10% of leadership team requires serious leadership skills, other 90% are rock stars! - 401(k) is not that great - Work-life balance can be challenging, WFH policy can help.

Unsatisfied and Looking for New Opportunity

Pros

Many talented professionals across the board. Cold brew coffee during summer months. Early hours, so you can come in early and leave early. Some flexibility with hours depending who you report in to.

Cons

Limited resources in our dev team result in lagged releases and in some cases projects are killed even after customers have been promised updates. Training group is unbalanced with some trainers shouldering much heavier loads than others. Sharing opinions about process or corporate improvements are discouraged and can target you for dismissal especially if they are not in line with the CEOs opinion, so many of us don't voice how we feel to management. Internal communication is broken. Although there are a good number of women on our leadership team, we are seriously lacking ethnic diversity. Our leadership team is hobbled by a narcissistic CEO who prefers leaders who will not question him.

Hi! We value and encourage our employees to provide us with feedback, so thank you for voicing your opinion. We also believe we have a great team, including leadership and CEO that makes our company great and for that reason we strive to keep an open communication channel and encourage employees to suggest ideas to their supervisors, HR, or other leaders they feel comfortable sharing with. As a company that is growing, we do experience growing pains. We will continue to develop our culture, become better leaders and continue to invest in all people.

- Senior management egos and baggage - Totally uninvolved CTO (he's a glorified coder) - Promotions based on favoritism not ability - Overworked and underpaid engineering team - Technology stuck in the 90s

Hi- Thanks for your feedback. We continue to work on refining our processes but do believe that we have some great leaders in house, ready to lead our business as we continue to expand and evolve. We do however, agree with you, that we have a fantastic group of people that work for us and have recently held small group sessions, to allow everyone to give us their feedback on things that work well and improvements that can be made. We value our existing and former employees, so we truly wish you the best of luck and hope you find a place that allows for greater opportunity for growth.
