Pros

Proctor & Gamble is very good at aligning with its individual employees. Their modo is P&G + me = mutual success! They do an outstanding job of listening to their employees and their needs in order to ensure that they attract, retain, and develop them. Even if you decide not to stay with the company, you will have learned an exceptional amount, and will have grown as a professional from your time here. In addition to these great long term career qualities. P&G also excels in the following areas. - Welcoming, friendly, and collaborative work culture - Highly competitive compensate and benefits - Clear and realistic expectations - Meaningful and fulfilling work - Opportunity for growth and advancement - Employee recognition and appreciation - Strong and transparent leadership - Autonomy and ownership of tasks - Diverse and inclusive work environment

Cons

Starting with P&G might seem overwhelming at first. There are tons of online trainings to complete, acronyms, documentation, and changing leadership. However the company understands this very well and doesn't expect new hires to learn these things over night. Another aspect that can be seen as negative is the frequency in which leadership changes. Ultimately these changes are for the development of the individual, however technicians do complain about how many different managers they have had. If you are working in management, career growth will most likely be delayed if you are not willing to transfer to a different plant.

A miserable dead end.

Pros

People with little options can have a secure dead end job. They put a coffee machine in the break room, but when people used it too much they started to require we bring in our own cups. Was it to cut costs or was it to save the environment [like they claimed]? You decide. There is a pay for knowledge program, but how fast you progress is determined by your clique. Only 1 person at this plant has ever converted from BTA to Band 1 and he started in the lab. No technician that started on the line has ever entered the lab.

Cons

The environment is very cliquey and promotions aren't based on who is most qualified, but rather those who will ruthlessly stab their coworkers in the back, can be manipulated, or is the biggest brown nose. There are too many people related to one another on the line and this causes performance reviews to be a bit skewed since its your coworkers that rate your performance. So you can have people that sleep on the job get great reviews, while those not in the clique get harsh reviews. You will have young engineers micromanaging your every move, talking down to you, screaming at you, and stabbing you in the back. Don't trust them. Additionally, your managers will make promises that once you do 'X', you will get "Y", but when it comes down to fulfilling their end of the deal always have an excuse. Your engineer managers only care about increasing production at all costs. They don't care about their employees at all. A simple mistake can result in a termination. Rules are selectively enforced and can change quickly for the technicians, but don't expect the same for anyone in an off-line role.

Pros

Set own schedule, appreciative customer

Cons

Advertise full time but hire oart time until 1000 hours are up 8 months later, then force full time or fired. Pitiful 2-3 % raises while ceo makes millions and stock buy backs. Pitiful managers expect workers to train them instead of letting them perform job. Area consists of 3 hour drive every direction, no co worker help. No training before work and then no experienced worker benefits honored.
