      A great place to grow and learn for as long as you can stand it.

      Pros

      This is a small company where almost any initiative will be welcome. There is a culture of always finding a better way, especially in regard to creating better tools and processes for technical resources. People are friendly and outgoing and almost always game for a friendly drink or several.

      Cons

      This is a small company where there is very little continuity in the kinds of projects undertaken and most interactions with upper management are negative. The company values are whatever the CEO says today, which is informed by who he's trying to sell a project to today, because he's also the only person doing sales in any meaningful way. None of the findings from improvements to the development process are taken seriously with respect to the kinds of projects that should be sold. Upper management could not be more out of touch with the company if they were perpetually on vacation.

      Thank you for your feedback. While it is good to see that you enjoyed some of your time at Promet Source, we are disappointed that you found many of our processes to be lacking. As of January 2016 we have implemented many improvements, many of which have been recommended and discussed before you left, some with newer technologies. We’re going to continue to focus on a better team experience at Promet. We’ve moved up a lot of our conversations and we don’t run our meetings with HiPPOs running the meetings or making all the decisions. -Andy CEO

      Ridiculous Company

      Pros

      Some fun, intelligent coworkers. Nice office space.

      Cons

      No appreciation of employees. Very little opportunity for employees to learn and grow. The owner of this place can't sustain a coherent thought for more than two sentences and appears to actively undermine his employees for no apparent reason. As for the director of operations, no one knows what he even does all day. Technical management is completely ineffectual. This company does not appear to have any strategy at all.

      Pros

      Interesting and honest people. Intelligent developers and project managers. Good location. Free lunches. Some people are allowed to work from home or leave early...Must be negotiated during offer.

      Cons

      The CEO makes transparent attempts to belittle those who intimidate him. He masks his poor memory and lack of skill with sarcasm, confounded interrogations and childish behavior. The business plan: Sell through deceit Exploit employees and clients Disregard strategies for unresearched impulses Harassment is tolerated. The turn over rate is high. Check ethics at the door. Prepare for no appreciation. You will be measured by undisclosed expectations and whims. There are frequent bouts of anger and frustration by the entire team. You must deliver champagne results with a beer budget.
