Pros

Today at lunch we were all laughing at some of the negative reviews posted here about the company. When one a disgruntled employee decides to write multiple reviews cause they did not get the lead position, we all really do find it rather funny. Yes working here is fun. Yes there are holiday gifs for everyone. Yes there are christmas parties and everyone dresses up for halloween. Yes their are free beverages, coffee and many times free snacks. Yes the programmers have their own "Java Cafe." Yes the creative team works in a area that look likes the Adobe creative suite. Yes the CEO is very nice and no he does not yell at people. Yes this is a real tech company culture - indian, asian, people of color. Straight people, gay people, married people and single people. Yes people from IBM, Microsoft, Google, Oracle, and many other leading tech companies work here. No they did not quit or there would not be a development team. No not every one here is considered attractive. No, the HR department does not care nor talk about what you eat for lunch. Yes people are treated with respect. Yes people's opinions are appreciated. Yes we have great happy hours. Yes, the team here is strong and those who aren't among the very best don't like it here and don't last long. But those who are top performers love it. Get paid very well. When I came here from another tech company, I got about a 20% raise and continue to do very well. So well that I turn down offers from head hunters all of the time. I work on the new product that is being launch for consumers this year. We work with the most current technology. We work on the iOS and Android platforms. Customer love the products. More and more partners sign up each month. So consider who takes the time to write such far reaching negative reviews...and why those negative reviews are all written with the same voice. As to why there there were so many positive reviews at the same time, management told us about Glassdoor and told use we were free to write whatever we wanted and that we should share the good and bad so we really do attract the right people. No where is perfect, but this is the best job I ever had!

Pros

The building out of which they operate is said to be environmentally friendly.

Cons

Proscape is writing fake reviews. If you look at the dates of the last 8 positive reviews, they were all written within 2 weeks of each other, making sure that emphasis was put on the "great culture" and "family atmosphere" and that the words "great" and "cool" were included in the titles (it might just be a coincidence that one of the Co-Founders uses the word "cool" incessantly and to describe everything, but probably not). Within these fake positive reviews a number of things are mentioned that are completely false or, at the very least, fluffed up a bit: Most of the people who work there who "have worked for some of the best tech companies in the world like IBM, Microsoft, Google, Playstation, etc." quit within 6-8 months of being hired because they realized that Proscape puts on a facade and is not the shiny tech company they claim to be. Within that same review they mention having never laid off anyone. I think they're forgetting about the time they laid off 3 people in one day - no notice, no legit reason, no explanation. That review also says that it's hard to get a job there, which is true, if you're NOT light-skinned and attractive. Another review says, "The company is really supportive of women in the workplace." which is laughable and 100% not true. It's no secret that one of the Co-Founders has said something to the effect of how they hire young women because they can pay them less. That same review talks about being allowed to work from home so he/she can stay home with "the kids". There was never anyone in that situation that worked at Proscape. It is far from a family atmosphere and the "great culture" is non-existent. When it comes to diversity...there is none. The few minorities they've hired in their US office have had to deal with racist and ignorant comments made by their fellow employees (and forget about going to HR about it...they're the ones who negatively comment on what you're wearing that day or what you are eating for lunch). The reviewers that said, "Everyone is friendly approachable and willing to help.", and, "it is OK to make mistakes as long as you learn from them and do better on subsequent tries.", must not know that one of the Co-Founders frequently calls his employees AND clients "stupid" and "idiots" in the presence of other employees. Sometimes you can hear one of the Co-Founders yelling, nay, screaming at someone in his office. The reviewer who said, "To succeed you need to deliver, but you are recognized when you do.", must be getting special treatment. Not only do they not recognize significant accomplishments and work well done, but some of the senior leaders often tend to take credit for those same projects that they had little to no involvement in. Some reviews said "good pay". Well, it's good if you also want to work a second job (like some of the employees do) just to make ends meet. The pay at Proscape is 35% lower than the average Pennsylvania salary for the position. I encourage you to read the several reviews prior to this cluster of fake positive reviews to get a more accurate portrayal of what it's like to work at Proscape.
