Don't get paid enough for work we do but great experience

Pros

Great experience working one on one with doctors. Gives future medical students a great opportunity to learn terminology as well as gain great patient care knowledge. Its an overall great experience for future medical professionals.

Cons

It is not possible to make ends meet financially with how much we are paid. Part-time gets barely above minimum wage and full-time doesn't get much over minimum wage. If you aren't able to commit to working 6 months and need to leave for any reason other than getting into graduate school you have to pay a $250 fee to resign. For students who just graduated and have student loans, rent, car payments, etc, it isn't feasible to work full time and make ends meet. On top of that, paying a $250 fee for resigning is ridiculous.

Thank you for the feedback. We're glad you feel that it is a great experience overall for future medical professionals! Just recently we have introduced new initiatives company-wide to address the concerns regarding pay. These initiatives include but are not limited to full-time opportunities with benefits, wage increases with tenure, and promotional opportunities. Also to clarify, our site coordinators are paid higher wages due to the additional responsibilities we require of the individual and position. Needs to Grow

Pros

The best part about working here was the flexible schedule. It's impossible to find a job that works this well with full-time students and I really appreciated the flexibility.

Cons

The upper management really needs some work. I often felt like I wasn't being listened to and that I was easily replaceable and undervalued. I also did not receive an increase in pay after a year of working here which was a little disheartening.
