- While their employees are their strongest asset, they can sometimes be tone deaf when taking feedback from their employees. Sometimes it felt like they were just saying what we wanted to hear to quiet the employee concerns and get us back to work.
- With their high turnover rate in the past almost 2 years, it seems that new initiatives fizzle out before they can even begin due to the HR and executive teams constantly changing. Seems to be a lot of talk about action that is important to employees but then the talk disappears and they move onto the next fire.
- Burnout is real and it can happen quickly due to habitual staff shortages. It will be difficult to take time off due to knowing the workload that you will come back to. While people do try to cover while you're out, they are already overloaded with their own work. However, I was at least never called while out on leave which is amazing.
- The main growth opportunities lie with customer focused roles. There isn't a lot of movement outside of this focus. And if there is opportunity, your role can quickly change to needing to help the customer facing roles with their workload due to understaffing and high workloads.
- Some of the clients will have unrealistic expectations/will not want to be compliant with the law. It can be hard to maintain expectations and keep the client compliant when the client is primarily looking at their costs.
- OT will almost become necessary to survive. Good luck leaving on time more than a couple of times a week.
- Due to being customer facing, I was unable to have flexible scheduling.
- The commitment to looking for efficiency can be exhausting. Before the new process/tool has been fully tested or looked into, we were using it for clients. And just as quickly we would abandon the process/tool without trying to fully trying to take advantage of what it did have to offer.
- Like others have said, the pay is not competitive. Yes, OT can make up for it. But if you're looking for higher pay or have a decent amount of experience, you can most likely find higher pay for less work if you take the time.
- The loudest voices and people willing to make a quick BIG sacrifice will be promoted over people who consistently show over long periods of time their knowledge, improvement, and dedication.
- Personally, I've never cried more while on the clock than this job. Several times while having 1-1 meetings with my manager and many times at the end of the day due to stress from the never ending work load that is not manageable.
