      Good Benefits and Declining Culture

      Pros

      Working at Prosper affords great benefits and an amazing workspace. Great vacation policy and location, right by the Embarcadero.

      Cons

      Unfortunately the engineering culture has taken a big hit due to misguided command-and-control management of which has corrupted the feedback loop between "The Business" and Engineering. Trust in management has eroded and much of the strong talent has left or been snuffed out.

      1. Amazing opportunity to uplift middle class families and below by providing them with low interest loans. 2. Hugely complicated and intricate tech stack 3. Superb quality of fellow engineers. Hard working. Passionate. 4. Opportunity to have positive impact. Huge impact. 5. Working at a unicorn with amazing growth :)

      Cons

      Transitioning code to new technologies while keeping website humming. Hard work but rewarding. It's certainly a big challenge. Location perfect for some and not all.
