Pros

Strong mission and values. Strategically positioned (3rd largest non profit healthcare company in United States) for growth in the future. Interesting opportunities.

Cons

For corporate employees - extremely challenging to get things done given rate of change. Lack of clarity on roles and responsibilities. Focus on "espousing" rather than "living" vision. Has gone about the change process in an unstructured way creating confusion, lack of accountability, and frustration among caregivers (Providence name for employees). Extremely political with too many layers.

Pros

Good PTO, most leaders are good to work for and have your back, great co-workers, mission and values. The benefits are good, but not as good as other healthcare employers.

Cons

If you're salary, knock your hourly pay rate you're making by 20-30%. Senior leadership = margin. Pay is below market in some places (especially Oregon).
