Pros

- Opportunity to use cool & cutting edge cloud technology. - A lot of coding opportunities to sharpen up your Python/Ruby/Javascript skills. - Brilliant yet humble team members. - Work/life balance is good. - Flexibility to choose between office, remote or a hybrid for work. - Company rewards you fairly for your contribution and value.

Cons

This isn't really a negative point, but months from August to November are considered critical for the company's business and you have to transition from full feature development to being prepared to wear the firefighter hat.

Pros

Good people. Good pay. Unlimited PTO that you can actually use.

Cons

Insurance is not the most exciting or sexy line of work. General lacking of PMs within the org can mean that some larger projects are slightly more disorganized than I'm used to (flip side of that is there's a lot less red tape to deal with which is a good thing).

Pros

- Strong technical leadership, including CEO - Strong engineering peers - Excellent engineering practices - Challenging engineering problems - Great mission - Good pay - Ability to impact and influence company's direction in a specific area

Cons

- Starting to see more Prudential nonsense - Slowing down the pace of change, growing larger more difficult to coordinate across teams - Pay is good, but for now below top tech players, hitting company performance goals is critical for a pay to be competitive
