Pros

there are no pros for this company.

Cons

1) your "PTO" isn't really yours to use, this company will make you use your PTO every time something happens. There are NO PAID HOLIDAYS unless you use your PTO time to cover the holiday time off. Meaning if you don't have it then oh well guess your check is going to suck! 2) The people you work with are in a group. the whole company is based on who you know not what you know. if you don't fit in then your screwed. 3) The pay you receive is a joke, they are wayyyyyyyyy below normal standards for what jobs pay. 4) Benefits are no good, way to high a coast and not really worth it

I am a full time CNA.

Pros

There are no pros to this company.

Cons

The worst of the cons is the work load. As a CNA, I am expected to provide care for 17-21 residents EVERY single day. It is impossible for one person to give 4-6 baths everyday and change these people. I started a long time ago and I absolutely regret everyday I spend in this sorry excuse for a nursing home. I have been with this company over a year and I still make $9/hour. I started out with $8, but I get $1 shift diffferential, which brings me up to $9. I have not received a raise since I started. Every request I have put in has been ignored because I am not one of the admistrative “favorites”. I am absolutely disgusted with Pruitt Health. The admistraitors act like they are so worried about the CNAs answering a call light and “making sure that the residents get proper care”, but they NEVER help out by answering that call light or getting more staff. The CNAs are not ever recognized for their efforts or even thanked for not quitting this God-forsaken place. The nurses act like they are on a high horse and can’t do CNA work, even when they see their CNA is completely overwhelmed. Nurses at Pruitt health are disrespectful, they are controlling, and when a CNA is having a personal issue they say “get over it, we need you here and you better not try to go home.” The nurses also will not answer call lights, even though it’s part of their job, they will not do anything except pass their meds and sit in a chair and chart. The nurses at this place are worthless and lazy. Nobody cares about the CNAs wants or needs. We are worked so hard we cry when we get off. We also have a high turnover rate. I am the only person at this facility in the past year that was hired and didn’t quit. I made $500 every 2 weeks, I got health insurance, which is $150 every 2 weeks, not my check are less that $400 and I work 10 days every 2 weeks. This place is a shame. They only care about how much money that can suck out of the employees and even have THE AUDACITY TO ASK US TO DONATE MONEY/CANDY/ AND OUR FREE TIME SO THEY CAN THROW SPECIAL EVENTS FOR THE RESIDENTS. THEY SIT THERE AND PAY ME $9/hour AND ASK FOR ME TO DONATE MY MONEY TO MY JOB!!!!! NO!! ASK THESE FAMILY MEMBERS FOR THE MONEY OR USE YOUR OWN CHECK BECAUSE THE ADMISTRAITORS MAKE A LOT MORE THAN THE UNDERPAID, OVERWORKED CNA. Oh, AND this particular Pruitt health keeps bringing in homeless people just so they can use their healthcare benefits by filling a bed and making money. Stop bringing in more residents if we can’t handle what we got. The CNAs don’t even help each other because they’re so tired from doing their own work to help each other!!! OH, AND we barely even get lunch breaks and if we do get one, on our way to clock out we will get stopped 50,000 times because somebody wants a soda or chips, and when we’re on break in the break room somebody will say “where’s the nurse? Will you get so-and-so this, this, and this?? Have you seen their ——?? Will you help me put this money in the vending machine and hand me my food/drink? Will you heat this up from me even though I see you eating and I know after you touch my money that I just pulled out of the diaper I just peed in you’re going to have to go wash your hands again and only have 3 minutes left to finish all your food before you have to clock back in because you only get a 30 minute lunch break and you spent 20 minutes waiting in a line to get your food and another 5 helping me out and another 2 minutes washing your hands after you helped me get this?” We can’t even get an uninterupted break. If you close the break room door, somebody will open it anyways and ask for stuff and if you tell them you are on break they will get mad and try to get you in trouble.

Exceptional Hospice Organization

Pros

Mr. Pruitt and his corporate leadership team implement more contests, activities, etc. for employees to boost morale and satisfaction than any company I've seen. They don't have to do it. They want to! If you want to be the best, you have to give your best! What other CEO would form a full committee to review company CNA uniforms to find the most durable, breathable and comfortable ones? I'll tell you who: The CEO that goes in like an average Joe and gets to know each employee, and asks them what he can do better to make their work life better! Mr. Neil Pruitt! Now THAT is class. Pruitt Hospice really does end up feeling like an extended family. There will be tension and disagreements, as with any family, but at the end of the day: the PruittHealth Hospice family will be there. They are also the highest paying home care organization in this area. The benefits are fine and management is very understanding of any personal/family matters that need to be taken care of. Flexible hours and a strong support system (Consultants, AVP, etc) always available if an issue arises. Pruitt strives for excellence... that's why they hire the best, pay the best, offer flexibility in scheduling, and they expect it in return. You get what you give. After all, we are all there for one reason: to be sure that every patient receives optimal service every time. Do the right thing because it's the right thing to do.

Cons

On-Call for Hospice can quickly cause burnout Mileage is not competitive compared with current market Benefits after 90 days; current market has some employers that offer benefits on the 1st day of the job, some after 30 days. Use your own phone with poor "reimbursement" allowances.
